Welcome to the website of the Fleetwood Elementary School in the Town of
Southampton. We are a small public school on the east end of Long
Island that boasts a family-like environment, a private-school feel,
and a student-to-staff ratio of approximately four to one.
Bridgehampton is nestled between Southampton and East Hampton, with all
of the charm and history of the east end. Bridgehampton UFSD offers an
engaging, rigorous curriculum, which exceeds state standards,
encourages critical thinking, sustainability, and the development of
life-long learning skills.
With its small student-to-staff ratio, students receive individualized
attention that is catered to their strengths. In addition, students are
assured ongoing support throughout their transition to adulthood
through programs that assure they are ready for college, the service,
or the world of work.
As the new Superintendent of schools, I look forward to opening the
doors to our 2010-2011 school year as it marks the school's centennial
year! Together we will shape the 'next hundred years'
of pride and accomplishment here at Bridgehampton. I look forward to
